Cycle Instead Bikeweek is the Western Australia’s annual celebration of cycling.
It aims to encourage people to jump on their bike and experience the thrill of riding.
Whether they are workers commuting, friends enjoying the ride along the river, or mums and dads who ride occasionally with their kids, they will all share the fun and benefits of riding a bicycle by participating in a multitude of events over an eight-day period.
If you have been thinking about taking up riding but have never got around to doing it this is a great opportunity to give it a go with many other novices.
Cycle Instead Bikeweek 2009 begins on Sunday, March 22 with the very popular 2009 HBF Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma, which attracted more than 7,000 people in 2008.
